The basics
Is the amount I buy per day, or a total?
Per day. If you buy 1M for $30, that is 1M arriving every morning for 30 days — not 1M to spend once. Unused tokens do not carry into tomorrow: this raises your daily ceiling rather than filling a pot.
Are these the same as credits?
No, and nothing converts between them. Credits are a balance that never expires and pays for website audits, keyword research, backlinks, AI writing and AI Visibility. Ask AI Tokens are a daily allowance that pays for Ask AI only. Buying one has no effect on the other.
Do I need to buy any at all?
Usually not. Every plan already includes a free daily allowance — 200k a day on Free, 500k on Professional and 750k on Premium — and it refills every morning at no cost. Buy tokens only if you keep hitting the limit before the day is over.

How many questions is that?
An average question costs roughly 42k tokens, so $30 is about 23 extra questions a day. Short questions cost less; a deep comparison that reads many sources costs more, so treat it as a guide rather than a quota.
What can I spend, and is the rate the same at every amount?
Any amount from $10 to $1,000, and the rate is flat — every $1 adds about 33k tokens a day. There is no volume tier to work out and no pack to pick.
What if I buy twice?
They stack. Two purchases add their daily tokens together, and each keeps its own 30-day window — so the first one ending does not take the second with it.
After 30 days
Does it renew automatically?
No. Nothing recurs and nothing is charged again. When the window closes you go back to your plan's own daily allowance, and you buy again only if you want to.
